It has been a ROUGH few months for everyone’s favorite West coast punching bag. And now, Lane Kiffin has suffered what could be his most embarrassing moment yet – although I absolutely hope not.
For those of you who don’t get your USC sanction news on an hourly basis, here’s what went down. Wait, no, never mind. Instead of explaining the entire Tennessee Titans vs. Lane Kiffin and co. lawsuit, let’s draw it up.

Being a UCLA alum got soooo much more exciting, fun, and rewarding when Lane Kiffin was named HFC at USC.
Unfortunately, I have a lot of respect for incoming AD Pat Haden (after all, I’ve been a Los Angeles Rams fan most of my life, and he got us to our first Super Bowl (then got hurt)).
It’s going to be interesting to see how Pat deals with this. Wonder if he’ll eventually fire Kiffin and take over…? And of course, Pac-10 commish Larry Scott’s gotta be fuming about the conference’s nominal football giant as he tries to rebrand the conference (see Andy Staples’s article today at SI.com).
