Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin attended the University of Miami spring game and had the privilege of speaking to the team before they hit the field. Irvin, who won a national championship while playing WR for the Hurricanes in 1987, was introduced by new head coach Al Golden and off he went.
Irvin certainly has earned a lot of reputations (some good, some not so good), but my goodness did he dominate his roll as guest speaker here. Whether or not the new “U” can play more like the Irvin “U” will be determined soon enough, but it’s hard not to salivate over the following if you’re a football fan.
Take it away, Mr. Irvin.
