Bednarik Award Watch List: Bama Leads The Way, But Our Vote is In

By Adam Kramer   Jul. 05, 2011

The Maxwell Award isn’t the only watch list to be released now that the 4th has come and gone, as the Bednarik Award watch list was also released and will eventually go to 2011′s finest defensive player.

This year’s watch list includes sixty-five players overall with Alabama staking claim to five of the sixty-five. For reference, In 2010 LSU corner Patrick Peterson took home this award.

Although we won’t be the ones deciding on who takes home the trophy, we feel obligated to pass along Vontaze Burfict as our choice for favorite and eventual winner of the award. We don’t need to see stats for the upcoming year, and we’re picking him and sticking with it. Seriously, though, he’s terrifying and we want to keep him happy whenever we can.
