Las Vegas Hilton Releases College Football Win Totals

By Adam Kramer   Jul. 24, 2011

The odds makers have spoken once again. On Sunday, the Las Vegas Hilton released their win totals for the upcoming college football season. Kudos to Covers Sports for relaying them to us as soon as they got them.

Couple of things regarding these numbers. For one, this is for the regular season only, so a bowl game or potential bowl game isn’t included. Two, the figures past the actual number are actually very important in how these odds are created. For example: Auburn’s win total opened at 6, but the over is at -155. This means a bettor would have to wager $155 to win $100 at the current number, if he/she wanted the over.

This changes the nature of these bets completely, and certainly is worth a glance to see which side of the total might be favored. Keep in mind also that these are the opening numbers, and early action will make move these numbers quickly.

You’ll also notice that not all teams are posted. Covers Sports reported that both Ohio State and Oregon were left out due to “too much uncertainty.” Other teams might be listed at other books that are comfortable with lines, but for now this is only book that has posted figures.

Maximum bet is $1,000, which is also important when it comes to line movements and significant jumps. We’ll certainly post these figures as they change.

As for the teams/numbers, here they are.

Admiring the persistence you put into your
site and in depth information you present. It’s nice to come across a blog every once
in a while that isn’t the same outdated rehashed information.
Great read! I’ve saved your site and I’m adding
your RSS feeds to my Google account.

    3. Yesterday, while I was at work, my cousin stole my iPad and tested to see if
it can survive a twenty five foot drop, just so she can be a
youtube sensation. My iPad is now broken and she has 83 views.

I know this is totally off topic but I had to share it with someone!
