Utah State’s Head Coach Gets School Logo Tattoo Following Bowl Promise

By Adam Kramer   Dec. 12, 2011

It probably isn’t the first, but we highly doubt that there are many Utah State tattoos out there. Well, I suppose we can only assume.

In any event, Utah State head coach Gary Anderson is now the proud owner of some Aggies’ body ink after his team earned a bowl berth in 2011.

Anderson told his team before the season started that if they headed to a bowl game he’d get the Utah State logo tattooed somewhere on his body. After a 7-5 season, Utah State did indeed get a bowl invite and will now take on Ohio in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl next Saturday.

Anderson lived up to his claim even before the outcome of the bowl game, however, and got the logo inked on his back shoulder on Sunday.

“I have to keep my promise to the kids,” Andersen said. “It’s a little weird having a tattoo, but this is well worth it. I love it.”

Thus far, no image of the tat has surfaced but that could change. As cool as Anderson is for living up to his promise, the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl logo would have made a MUCH better tattoo. I mean, who doesn’t love the possibility of chives on your shoulder forever?
