Video: The Best (and Strangest) Interception You Will See This Bowl Season

By Adam Kramer   Dec. 26, 2011

There are interceptions, and then there is whatever you’d like to call this play that took place during the first half of the Independence Bowl.

UNC quarterback Bryn Renner threw the ball on target and it hit his wideout Dwight Jones first in stride. After that, well, things get awesomely weird once he was hit and the ball went up in the air. Jones gets the assist for this interception, as his back served as an outstanding prop before Missouri’s Zaviar Gooden finally came down with it.

If only their mascot could’ve come up with a catch like this.
