Clint Bowyer will honor Alabama with Bear Bryant helmet this weekend

By Adam Kramer   May. 02, 2012

For the third consecutive year, NASCAR will honor college football’s national champion. Only this year, however, things have taken a turn for the excellent.

Clint Bowyer, who happens to be a Kansas fan (sorry Clint, at least on the football side of things), will celebrate Alabama’s recent championship win by getting a Tide-centric paint scheme for his number 15 car. This is similar to what we’ve seen to the past few years, only the ante has been upped for Sunday.

On top of changing colors for the upcoming race at Talladega, Boyer will also wear a helmet that honors Alabama’s accomplishment. Well, it does much more than that.

Say hello to Bear Bryant, who will ride around with Bowyer for the weekend. I mean, this is just magnificent, and art and a tribute made for the SEC. It will also probably be a tattoo on somebody’s back by the end of the week. In fact, it probably already is.

Bless you, SEC. And NASCAR, of course.

My helmet for this weekend...Pretty Bitchin! http://t.co/FLK4z0Kx

I agree The Bear was a great coach but don’t you think it is time we start to honor the current coach and 2x national title winner for BAMA Nick Saban the past was great but the future is very bright and can be just as great if we start to honor him and quit living in the past he has proven himself with 2 titles in 3 years ROLL TIDE and SABAN NATION
