Sportsbook posts 2013 Heisman odds

By Adam Kramer   Dec. 13, 2012

The online sportsbook, well, Sportsbook.ag has already posted 2013 Heisman odds.

I mean, why wait?

Now, this is an abbreviated list, and you can expect to see much deeper betting options soon enough both here and elsewhere. But, this does allow us to take a moment to look at what the experts are forecasting in 2013.

To the surprise of no one, Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel is your favorite, although he has company. Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller joins him at the top of this list, and if you’ve seen the 2013 OSU schedule, you can see why.

South Carolina defensive end/nightmare fuel creator Jadeveon Clowney also has an appearance on this list, and his Heisman push for next season is already underway. In terms of value, Clemson QB Tajh Boyd jumps out initially, although we won’t get the extreme value until we have more names.

After all, Johnny Manziel wasn’t exactly a frequently bet player (or betting option for that matter) heading into last season.

The rest of the odds are as follows.

Johnny Manziel (Texas A&M)7/2

Braxton Miller (Ohio State)7/2

Aaron Murray (Georgia)5/1

Marqise Lee (USC) 8/1

DeAnthony Thomas (Oregon)8/1

Taylor Martinez (Nebraska) 10/1

AJ McCarron (Alabama)10/1

Tajh Boyd (Clemson) 12/1

Brett Hundley (UCLA)15/1

Jadeveon Clowney (South Carolina)15/1

Marcus Mariota (Oregon) 15/1
