Photo: James Franklin’s business card is outstanding

By Adam Kramer   Jan. 16, 2013

Vanderbilt head coach James Franklin is cooler than your head coach. It’s OK, that’s nothing to be ashamed of there.

He hugs random fans, does the ol’ fake make out maneuver with his players, and he even has a business card that can tell time. Well, it can’t tell time (as far as we know), but it is all sorts of awesome. Business cards can’t be awesome, you say?

James Franklin begs to differ.

And on that note, I’ve just committed to Vanderbilt (again). Also, I need new business cards.

Those are detachable throwing stars. He’s like Batman. Phenomenal.

James Franklin is awesome. I am a Bama fan, but have always pulled for Vandy when they play anyone else…gotta love the underdog.
I am amazed he has stayed at Vandy. If he does something impossible again at Vandy this coming season, he won’t be there a 4th, which is too bad for Vandy. All they’ve done with him is accomplish things they haven’t accomplished in 100 years, back when Vandy was very good. Vandy was going to pay Gus Malzahn $3M/yr to coach the Dores, and he had ZERO record worth writing about without Cam Newton. Franklin is worth MUCH more than Malzahn to Vandy; hope they give HIM the $3M.
Trivia question: who administered the worst beating Bama has ever suffered and what was the score? Vandy, 78-0, in 1906. Worst defeat, worst shutout loss, worst margin of defeat, most points allowed to any opponent, ever. It was the end of a 3-game shutout run by Vandy, scoring 142-0 over the Tide.
