Tiger Stadium to Undergo “Significant” Renovations
On Wednesday, LSU sent out a press release announcing that they’d be making some “significant changes” to their football stadium.
According to the information provided, these changes will not alter any structural aspects of the facility, but instead focus on the field itself.
“After a brilliant season for our football team, we’ve decided to make a tweak to our field to get us over the necessary humps heading into the 2012 season,” the release stated. “We think this change will lead to a better offensive strategy and a more distinct home field advantage in the coming years.”
It’s a bold move for LSU to say the least; although it’s clear they’re trying to put more points on the scoreboard in 2012. After crossing midfield just once in the title game, they’re making what they feel will be the necessary changes to get them back to the BCS Championship for the second consecutive season.
We are shocked, however, that the SEC would allow such bold renovations. A preview of these changes are featured below.
